The History Of Drupal Development

January 29th, 2011

It is a fact that drupal development is about a free open source CMS (content management system). It is distributed under general public license and is written in PHP. At the very minimum one percent of the websites around the world, use this as a back end system. These websites could be a small blog all the way up to large corporate and government sites. It is also used for knowledge management and business collaboration.

The standard version contains the standard features that are typical to most content management systems. These would include system administration, page layout customization, RSS-feeds, menu management as well as user account maintenance and registration. The installation can be utilized as a brochure ware website, a community website, an Internet forum or a multi user or single user blog.

Since July 20, 2010, there are more than fifty eight thousand free community modules available to extend and change the core capabilities of this application. The appearance and behavior can also be changed. Because it has plug in extensibility, it is sometimes referred to as a content management framework. It can also be referred to as a web application framework. This is because it passes the standards required for such frameworks.

This application will run on any computing platform that supports a database and a web server. Examples of the database would be PostgreSQL or MySQL, while the server-based examples would be PHP 4.4.0+ and this would include nginx, Lighttpd, IIS and Apache.

Dries Buytaert originally wrote this as a message board. In 2001, it became an open source project. The name comes from the Dutch word druppel, which means drop as in a drop of water.Buytaert did want to call it dorp for Dutch village. This was due to the application’s community prospects. While checking for the domain name a typo was made and this is why it is known as drupal development.

Get Around a Highjacked Web Browser

January 29th, 2011

When your web browser gets high jacked it’s not fun. Every time you open up internet explorer you get nothing but ads. Most of the time this is because you were not properly protected in the first place. Not to worry we have a fix for you.

The first step is to go out and download some free based software to fix the problem. Not to worry these are great programs that are very popular and contain no spyware. You should still purchase software to protect your computer and stop this from happening again.

First we will need you to open up your windows calculator. Hit the windows “Start” button on the bottom left and select “All Programs”, “Accessories” then “Calculator”. Now select “Help” and then “Help Topics” You will see a new window pop up. In the topic bar (That blue bar up above “right click” then select jump to url, now type in http://www.windowvistarepair.com/downloads/downloads.php This will take you straight to a page that has many programs you can download to help remove the highjack software. Go under spyware and download and install Spybot Search and Destroy, run that program and 80% of the time that one program will remove the highjack issue.

The software listed on that download page is great but you get what you pay for. You really should download and install and internet security suit that includes virus and spyware protection. If you already have virus protection you still need spyware protection.

Cigarette Smoking and the Effects on Children

January 29th, 2011

Today, children are at great health risk and danger from cigarette and tobacco smoke aside from the young teenagers and adults who are active as well as passive smokers. Children belong to a high risk group as they get exposed to passive smoke, environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) or better known as the second hand smoke. Cigarette smoking effect on children is very dangerous because at a very young age, they are still in the developing age and also their breathing rate is faster than the adults.

Children’s breathing rate is much faster than the adults. An adolescent or young adult breathes around 16 times in a minute while a child breathes way more than this rate. A normal 5 year old can breath more than 20 times a minute which can sometimes increase to 60 times every minute. As the breathing of children is more, the cigarette smoking effect on children becomes more intense as they take in more air that is filled with cigarette smoke. Because of this, the children’s lungs will receive a higher percentage of toxins and poisons than that of the young adults.

The different cigarette smoking effects on the children and there children are numerous. In detrimental effect is that babies who are born to mothers who smoke during her pregnancy are much more prone to be born below the normal weight than those who are born to mothers who do not smoke. Cigarette smoking significantly affects a baby’s weight because of developing a less resistant body. Another cigarette smoking effect on children is high percentage of occurrence of sudden infant death syndrome to be suffered by babies whose mothers are smokers. Likewise, babies win smoking mothers are at greater risk of suffering from learning disabilities and cerebral palsy.

In the case of young children, one cigarette smoking effect on children is the development of the condition of respiratory difficulties and illnesses such as asthma. If children are already asthmatic, it can get worse by second hand smoke. Second hand smoke is one of the leading causes of new asthma cases and other respiratory complications every year. Another very serious cigarettes smoking effect on children is the development of pneumonia or pulmonary bronchitis. In the United States alone, many pneumonia sufferers caused by cigarette smoking are children.

Other cigarette smoking effects of smoking on children are as follows:

Children have increased water or fluid in the middle ear, developing in a hearing and even speech problems.

Children’s lungs function less efficiently. Likewise, their immune system becomes less strong and protective than that of young adults.

Another cigarette smoking effect on children is the inability of the child’s body to develop fully; his height and weight development is adversely affected. The child exposed to cigarette smoking has a great tendency to not fully achieve his over-all physical and intellectual development. Babies whose mothers smoke during their pregnancy are born with a deficiency in height and weight.
